Few things are as delicious as fresh pizza. It hits all the cravings without being too expensive or heavy, and is perfect for sharing with a large group. The hardest thing about it is agreeing on what toppings to get! Regardless, when it comes to finding a food for any occasion the variety pizza offers makes it hard to beat. Parties are easily satisfied with a couple of boxes, small group hangout cravings are met with one or two boxes, date nights can be capped off with a shareable box, even solo nights can find happiness when seeing that melted cheese under an assortment of the toppings you want. Unlike most foods, pizza can teach us about compromise and differentiating between needs and wants. We see this all the time amongst family or friend debates, sometimes even arguing about the type of sauce to use as the base. Even the crust can be changed! No other food offers nearly the amount of choices pizza does, and rarely does ordering pizza result in disappointment, especially as children.
When we were kids, some of the highlights of school were those random pizza parties our teachers were so kind in throwing us. At the mere mention of possibly getting one, the class would erupt in cheers. Even back then we knew what a treat it was to get one, even if we had to do well on a test or some form of fundraiser in order to celebrate. Pizza parties always meant an easy day and a distraction from regular school activities, and if we were really lucky the pizza would be enjoyed with a movie as well. So for many, pizza is a nostalgic reminder of the simpler days before the pains of growing had a chance to make themselves known.
